Frequently asked questions

Can an iPhone install a Simulator build?

No. Simulator output runs in Apple Simulator on a Mac. Physical devices require an eligible signed device build and matching Apple provisioning.

Why are certificates and profiles required?

Apple uses signing identities and provisioning profiles to control which apps can run on devices and how they may be distributed.

Is TestFlight the same as an App Store release?

No. TestFlight distributes builds to testers through App Store Connect. Production availability requires a separate App Store submission and Apple review.

Is App Store approval guaranteed?

No. Apple controls review and may require changes to the app, website experience, privacy disclosures, account configuration, or listing.
